Your marriage can make life a heaven on earth, or a tormenting living hell. Every day, we see broken hearts, broken homes and broken lives all around us. All around the world, divorce rates are soaring in every community. People are apprehensive of marriage as a lifelong covenantal commitment. Yet, the marriage relationship between a man and his wife is still the greatest illustration of the agape love Christ has for His Church (Eph. 5:25). If husbands and wives have little understanding between them, little determination to stay together, and unrealistic marital expectation, the marriage is doomed to fail. The Bible says that the lack of knowledge brings destruction (Hosea 4:6). Since marriage is the first institution created by God, we need to know what He has to say about being a good husband, a good wife, and about married life.
