Together with his team, Max has visited the high mountains of Northern Norway, the Alps of Switzerland, France and Germany in search of the best mountain shots in order to create seven in-depth photography classes covering the following topics: Planning, Google Earth scouting, how to read weather forecasts, location routing, preparing for hikes, finding a composition, dealing with sun flare, shooting in difficult conditions, composition analysis, manual focus-stacking, panorama tips and tricks, as well as post-processing a picture from start to finish.
Pre-location scouting involves all the planning and actions that you take before going out into the field. This element of landscape photography determines how successful the actual location scouting and the resulting photos will be. In some cases, the success of a photo or even a whole trip will already be decided by good pre-location scouting. By familiarizing yourself with the area and subjects, you’ll gain valuable knowledge into which photo techniques will be best for your shoot when you finally embark upon your trip.
